Text Box: The American Red Cross now recommends that the rate of CPR compressions be 30 compressions followed by 2 breaths for a victim that shows “no signs of life”. This is obviously a substantial increase from the 15 compressions and 2 breaths taught for many years.
Also, once rescuers begins CPR, they are not to stop until another trained rescuer takes over, the area is not safe, you are too exhausted to continue CPR or if there obvious signs of life like movement or breathing.
Register for a CPR course today to refresh your skills and see what else has changed. You never know who might need your help!
